About the Post

We are looking to appoint a Facilities Manager who Would relish the opportunity to join an exciting and progressive journey with a vision to transform education across our community. Twynham School and The Grange School (collectively known as 'Twynham TGS' operate a federated staffing focused on delivering a world class educational experiences to students across both of our schools. This is a rare opportunity to join our organisation working as the Facilities Manager based mainly at Twynham School and overseeing the work of the site team across The Grange School.

We are looking for an outstanding individual who will relish the opportunity to:

• Provide expert facilities management in order to improve the quality of education our students
• Play a key role in developing the use of facilities on both campuses enabling the organisation to fulfil its aspirational vision for the future
• Take responsibility for all aspects of the schools' site management and premises staff to ensure high standards are met
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in accordance with our Safeguarding and Child Protection policies

Who we are looking for

We would love to hear from you if you have:

Essential
• A strong background in facilities or estates management
• Good working knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation with a proven experience of applying it in a workplace
• First aid qualification (or the ability and willingness to obtain)
• Safer recruitment trained (or the ability and willingness to obtain)
• 5 GCSEs including English and Maths, grade A*-C or equivalent
• Experience or knowledge of working in a school environment
• Proven experience in budgetary control
• Proven ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships (both internal and external) at all levels

Desirable
• NEBOSH certificate and/or IOSH courses
• Relevant degree or evidence of further professional learning
• Approved qualification in use of specialist equipment
• Proven track record of leading and inspiring a team, including coaching for improvement
• Experience of using emotional intelligence to manage change effectively
