About the Role:
As a CBRE Facilities Manager, you will manage a team responsible for providing overseeing building operations and maintenance for a facility, campus, or portfolio of small to medium sized buildings.

This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to the Property Managers regarding all repairs and investment plans.
What You'll Do:

  • Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
  • Schedule and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
  • Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
  • Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
  • Prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
  • Perform facility inspections quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations. Suggest operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
  • Manage environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and invoicing procedures. Review price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.
  • Conduct process and procedure training on maintenance, repairs, and safety best practices.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
  • Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid driver's license required. Facility Management certification preferred.
  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
  • Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
  • Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

As a Facilities Manager focused on Operations (Soft Services), you will collaborate with colleagues to inspire customer moments of delight and pursue amazing outcomes each day. Be an ambassador of a one-team approach within the Operations team, representing the CBRE and Client brand. You will be primarily accountable for the leadership and operational oversight of all soft service delivery(e.g., cleaning, landscaping, waste management, internal movement) across a 1 million sq ft facility for a key tech client.

This includes team leadership, management of supply partners, ensuring process compliance, and delivery of financial requirements in line with the Client approved budget.You will be the local client engagement lead for all operational service streams, building the local relationship through regular meetings to support the account vision.

  • Take full ownership of all soft service delivery (e.g., cleaning, landscaping, waste management, internal movement) for a sprawling 1 million sq ft tech facility. You'll champion the integration of AI-driven tools, smart cleaning, and predictive maintenance to drive unparalleled efficiency and service excellence.
  • Recruit, motivate, and develop a dedicated team, fostering a culture of continuous growth, engagement, and safety. You'll implement succession planning and coaching to empower your team to achieve amazing outcomes.
  • Be the primary client engagement lead, building trusted relationships, anticipating needs, and delivering seamless, 'one-team' solutions with our key tech client. You'll also manage and optimise relationships with supply partners, ensuring best-in-class services
  • Develop and implement standardised procedures that ensure consistent quality across all soft services. Proactively identify opportunities for improvement, implement unique solutions, and embed a strong safety culture in line with CBRE's RISE values.
  • Oversee the operational budget, including planning, forecasting, and managing expenditures, while constantly seeking cost savings and resource optimisation through innovative approaches.
