Location: University of Exeter International Study Centre
Salary: £45,000 annual, depending on experience
Band E
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time
We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to lead the delivery of a high-quality, safe and efficient environment at the University of Exeter International Study Centre.
This is a senior role within the Centre, with responsibility for the full facilities operation across academic buildings, student accommodation, catering and office spaces. You will oversee day-to-day operations as well as longer-term planning, ensuring everything runs smoothly, meets regulatory requirements and supports an excellent student experience.
You will lead and develop the facilities team, manage external contractors and service partners, and take ownership of budgets, projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Health and safety, compliance and risk management sit at the core of the role, alongside a strong focus on sustainability and operational efficiency.
Working closely with the Centre Director and senior management team, you will play a key part in shaping the environment in which students live and learn, ensuring it is safe, well-maintained and fit for purpose.
This role would suit someone with significant facilities management experience in a complex environment, confident operating at a senior level and managing large, multi-disciplinary teams. Strong commercial awareness, excellent stakeholder management skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach are essential.
