The role of FM Manager offers a diverse and exciting opportunity and provides a varied style of work within soft FM. This is a great opportunity for you to join our exciting Facilities Team within East Sussex County Council.
The Eastbourne Facilities Manager leads a range of in-house and contracted out facilities management (FM) services aimed at providing value and excellent customer service. The post holds responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the buildings in Eastbourne, ensuring best value, efficient and client satisfaction and safety. The post holder will also oversee the management of staff in Hastings and be the principal liaison with the Landlord Building Manager.
We are looking for candidates who can lead and coordinate all FM services within a number of corporate properties, regularly reviewing services to ensure they remain customer focused and innovative. Manage a range of in-house facilities services, providing appropriate levels of support and leadership. They will manage the operations and ensure safe management of buildings within the FM function; interacting with other property teams and Client departments. Have an ability to reconcile client needs, alongside the delivery of services. This requires the ability to manage conflicting priorities with considerable levels of work-related pressure, whilst liaising with the relevant people, managing expectations and coordinating services. Take responsibility for direct reports. This includes conducting appraisals, development plans, the completion of monthly meetings / target reviews, whilst providing a high level of daily guidance and support requiring strong interpersonal skills. Support the Soft FM Services Manager in the review and development of professional practices and facilitate and embed best practice working within the FM team.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency's Points-based Immigration System.
