What the role is

The Facilities Manager will report directly to the Country Partner and will be responsible for ensuring that the properties are well-maintained and that any necessary repairs or renovations are carried out in a timely and cost-effective manner.

What you will be doing

  • Oversee all maintenance operations at the properties, including preventative maintenance, routine repairs, and emergency response.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with outside contractors and vendors, as needed.
  • Ensure that all equipment and systems are functioning properly and that any issues are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure that equipment and systems are inspected and serviced regularly.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities are in compliance with local and governmental regulations and guidelines.
  • Respond to emergency situations, as needed, to ensure the safety and security of all residents and staff.
  • Manage the maintenance budget, ensuring that all expenditures are controlled and that resources are used efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local suppliers and contractors, ensuring that all materials and services are obtained at the most competitive prices.

What you need for the role

  • 3+ years of experience in maintenance management.
  • Knowledge of maintenance processes, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to identify and resolve maintenance issues in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and outside contractors.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
