Salary 29,260 depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assist Infrastructure & GFA (Government Furnished Assets) Manager with producing monthly plant forecasts for all Ship Repair projects, this includes producing forecasts for FTSPs and 4-week forecasts for Upkeeps

  • Assist Infrastructure & GFA Manager with updating the Building Custodian register

  • Progress damage and loss cases, investigating discrepancies, and liaising with projects to recover costs where applicable

  • Run regular reports to display plant hire-related costs for the calendar year, helping to identify areas for potential cost savings. Analyse data to identify patterns in plant hire costs, damage, and losses, enabling us to take preventative actions

  • Establish effective working relationships with both BAE Delivery teams and infrastructure/facility service providers

  • Support the Infrastructure team with helpdesk requests and the maintaining of tasks being completed in a timely manner

  • Working with Sites, Facilities & Infrastructure Team Lead in support of project administrative tasks. Assist Infrastructure & GFA Manager in day-to-day routine tasks

Your skills and experiences:

  • Ideally Site, Facilities and Project management experience

  • Be competent in drafting professional communications to distribute to all occupants of the building

  • Be proficient in the use of appropriate IT packages including Microsoft Office Applications

  • Ability to respond to internal/external customer enquiries and providing information and guidance as appropriate

  • Understand team budget and impact upon costs / opportunities for cost savings and undertake any training necessary to maintain/improve their functional knowledge in support of the delivery of the Building Coordination task

The Infrastructure team:

As a member of the infrastructure team, this role is to work with multiple BAE Ship Repair teams, MOD and service providers across all areas of Portsmouth Naval Base to provide essential requirement planning, detailed scheduling and delivery co-ordination of multiple work tasks, activities and projects to enable effective delivery of Warships Operations.

This role is to ensure that all infrastructure and supporting facilities required by Ship Repair are in place to enable delivery of contracted outputs and develop appropriate Management Information Systems to enable the effective assessment of infrastructure and facility capability, availability and associated issues and risks in support of Ship Repair outputs.

At the tactical level, you will support the development of solution for improving building facilities, operational delivery management processes and arrangements for ships both in dry dock and wet berth.
