Facilities and Projects Manager - Manufacturing

We are looking for an experienced Facilities and Projects Manager to join a well-established, Manufacturing business based in Harrow. Your role will be to oversee all site related activities. You will responsible for preserving the integrity of the infrastructure and ensure that all company buildings are clean, safe, secure and always functioning appropriately.

The Facilities and Projects Manager oversees all aspects of building functions and guarantees the safety and functionality of all site facilities.

Key duties and responsibilities....

  • Managing the site contracts for all hard to soft services to ensure robust and cost effective.
  • Working in partnership with the key internal & external stakeholders delivering site operational efficiencies and maintaining the employee working environment.
  • Provide full project life cycle management for projects including large scale CAPEX projects
  • Manage contractors and engineering team members throughout business projects
  • Inspect the site buildings' structures to determine the need for repairs & renovations
  • Manage ongoing maintenance of facilities and related projects and record accordingly
  • Control activities including security, fire risk, waste management, parking facilities
  • Project manage building installations and refurbishments effectively and efficiently
  • Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, Heat, Electricity etc.)
  • Correspond and engage with external contractors and vendors in a timely manner
  • Handle insurance plans and service contracts
  • Keep building and all facilities up to code and accurately follow maintenance protocol
  • Monitor interior and exterior areas of site for cleanliness and general conservation
  • Prepare and implement project planning, budgets and timeframes
  • Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures
  • Support maintenance and installment work as needed

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Facilities and Projects manager in a manufacturing environment - ideally with relevant credentials (Certified Facilities Manager/CFM or equivalent)
  • Complete understanding of Facilities & Projects Health & Safety requirements e.g. PPE, Risk Assessments, accident & incident reporting etc
  • Experience planning and maintaining facility budgets
  • Excellent project management capabilities - ideally with relevant qualifications (Prince2/APM etc)
  • Technical knowledge of hard and soft building services
  • Understands the principles of continuous improvement particularly 5S
  • Understanding of contractor management requirements e.g. RAMS, Permits to Work
  • Ability to build strong business relationships with both internal and external customers
  • Expert problem solver with strong commercial acumen
  • Computer literate with MS Packages
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm
