Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Facades Manager to oversee the design, procurement, and installation of façade systems on a landmark construction project in Belfast. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality façade solutions that meet design intent, programme, budget, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of façade works from design through to installation and handover.
• Coordinate with design teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with project specifications and timelines.
• Review and approve façade design drawings, calculations, and material specifications.
• Monitor progress on-site, ensuring quality control, health & safety compliance, and adherence to programme.
• Lead façade-related meetings and provide regular updates to the Project Manager and senior leadership.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with façade works.
• Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations, fire safety standards, and sustainability requirements.
• Manage façade subcontractor performance, including cost control and variation management.
• Support value engineering exercises and contribute to innovative façade solutions.
Person Specification:
Essential Criteria:
• Proven experience in façade management, delivering complex façade packages on time and within budget for large-scale construction projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of curtain walling, cladding systems, glazing, and insulation.
• Experience working with façade subcontractors and managing design coordination.
• Excellent understanding of UK building regulations and façade performance standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
Desirable Criteria:
• Degree or equivalent Qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Experience with BIM and digital construction tools.
• Knowledge of sustainable façade technologies and materials.
