Salary: £47,683
What you’ll be doing:
- Apply for export licences from the appropriate Regulator (UK, US and other foreign regulators as appropriate). Ensure all licence approvals are loaded to the appropriate IT systems and the key stakeholders are informed
- Supporting in the production and maintenance of export control licence management plans and regular reviews with key stakeholders on our Programmes
- Supporting the implementation and management of the export control governance in AIR including. Risk identification and management, Corporate/Internal/External Audits and closure actions where appropriate, assuring timely investigations and reporting.
- Be a point of contact for the AIR business, providing day-to-day SME advice and guidance on export control related queries, regulatory and procedural requirements
- Growing and sustaining productive relationships with a broad stakeholder group which could include project teams, customers, suppliers and government regulators
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Working knowledge of export control regulations (UK, US, other foreign countries), business processes & procedures gained through experience in an aerospace/defence environment would be an advantage
- Excellent written, presentation and IT Skills – MS Excel and PowerPoint
- You may also have experience in one of the following Functional areas such as Procurement, Commercial, Project Management, Engineering, Manufacturing or Supply Chain
- Ability to communicate and influence stakeholders
- Tenacity and ability to work under pressure with limited supervision
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Corporate/Internal/External Auditing
- Experience with SPIRE
- Experienced in a similar export environment

The FCAS Export Control Team:
The team will be supporting the implementation of the overall export control governance strategy for the AIR business to ensure that effective export control policies, procedures, processes, toolsets and training plans are established, implemented, maintained.
This exciting role will provide you with the opportunity to interface with a wide range of stakeholders, both inside and outside the business, whilst delivering compliant export control solutions that enable us to do business. There will be growth opportunities available within the wider business with also a potential to travel when required.
