The Caldecott Foundation has been helping children build a future for over 110 years. We provide schools, homes and therapeutic services to children and young people. Our mission and the experience of our children and young people are significantly enriched by our fundraising activities. The Fundraising Manager post is critical in achieving our fundraising targets and maximising the impact of the funds we raise.

KEY JOB RESPONSBILITES

  • Identify new fundraising opportunities and initiatives in the community whilst maintaining existing relationships.
  • Maintain accurate records of donor interactions and contributions using the fundraising database.
  • Develop relationships with community networks, ensuring any new networks are identified to maximise fundraising events and opportunities.
  • Produce high quality fundraising applications and circulate to identified charitable Trusts and Foundations based on your research.
  • Conduct relevant research to support the development of the charity's fundraising strategy alongside the CEO.
  • Utilise databases including the review of past community fundraising events to encourage regular support.
  • Lead the organisation's existing annual community events and develop new events in liaison with the management team.
  • Co-ordinate volunteer support for community events where this is required.
  • Handle general telephone and personal enquiries regarding donations or other fundraising issues.
  • Manage Just Giving and other on-line giving sites.
  • To ensure that donors and participants are thanked in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Writing inspiring content for supporter communications, social media and website content.
  • Work with our finance team to ensure that all donations are processed in lien with donor expectations.
  • Ensure that we meet the highest standards in all of our fundraising activities.

WHAT KIND OF PERSON DO WE NEED?

  • Someone with a proven fundraising skills and success.
  • Someone with management experience.
  • Someone with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
  • Someone who has the ability to develop strong relationships with donors and volunteers.
  • Someone who is confident in networking and being a champion for the charity.
