What you'll do

The role of the Markets Finance team is to drive sustained improvement in market share, revenue, contribution margin and cash flow growth and cost efficiency activities across multiple OpCo's. As part of a multinational team, you will directly contribute to driving performance, business partnering, identifying opportunities and managing governance for EU7. EU7 includes Turkey, Portugal, Ireland, Greece, Romania, Czech Republic and Albania.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting - Accountable for the primary financial processes across the EU7 portfolio - from Annual Target Setting process, modelling targets for OpCos' Long Range Plans through to Budget and rolling forecasts.
  • Cross-EU7 initiatives - Support the development of key 'horizontal' initiatives that cut across the Region (e.g. Working Capital, Fit for Growth, A&R Efficiency) including definition of scope, engaging stakeholders and the production of analysis and insight to drive change across the OpCo's.
  • Best practice sharing - Identify opportunities to improve revenues, control costs and provide business analysis support to the OpCo's to enable them to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Performance Management and control - Responsible for delivering and enhancing effective month end reporting for the team, across all of Europe (EU7 + Germany + UK) and driving digitalisation where possible. Proactively produce supplementary & ad-hoc analysis to track trends and identify performance risks & opportunities.
  • Investor Relations and market assessment - Lead quarterly Investor Relations process for EU7, setting timetables, coordinating OpCo submissions and producing commentary and analysis to explain performance trends to internal stakeholders and for Investor Relations to use in external announcements.

Who you are

  • Influences strategic decision making related to building forecasts, financial plans and reflecting efficient use of financial resources in order to achieve financial targets aligned to company objectives;
  • Leads the delivery of the financial controls and governance activities and drives cost efficiencies, in alignment with and support for company objectives;
  • Uses advanced analytical thought and assists in business insights, providing excellent finance acumen to support internal customers with financial evaluations, maximising value, the return on resources and investment;
  • Builds solid relations and works closely with stakeholders and business units and acts as the key interface between EU7 Finance and other Vodafone functions and teams;
  • Provides decision support to leadership teams through commercial analysis of results and underlying trends, identifying and quantifying risks and opportunities to latest projections;

  • Discretionary yearly bonus: 10%
