ESG Program Manager

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting an ESG Program Manager to manage and support the implementation of ESG initiatives within an account.

Key Activities

  • Prepare or revise client communications for sustainability performance aligned to internal corporate goals.
  • Establish and implement best practice processes, procedures, templates, specifications and guidelines for all project types and frameworks for the measurement and verification of energy, water and waste efficiency projects.
  • Collaborate with CBRE sustainability team members to align outcomes with our sustainability strategy and facilitate sustainability engagement and training for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure the effective management of energy, water and waste reduction initiatives to meet client's objectives and targets. To identify, develop and implement new energy & sustainability related opportunities.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of corporate sustainability governance, legal, statutory compliance and technical issues which affect both client and CBRE.
  • Actively engage with Firm wide stakeholders to manage and or support programs to meet regional and global regulatory compliance and associated reporting requirements e.g. NRFD reporting such as SECR.
  • Stay up to date and share sustainability updates within new products and services.
  • Support client in driving LEED and WELL HSR certifications.
  • Develops, updates, communicates, and implements site sustainability standards, water efficiency standards and best in class waste and recycling processes. Manages resource initiatives for all sites/regions/portfolio, as assigned.
  • Develops and presents monthly energy and sustainability status and variance reports. Monitors and reports on energy use, water use, waste diversion rates and spending trends.
  • Engages team and the global energy and sustainability platform to identify and develop projects. Responsible for formalizing the scope, obtaining quotes, performing project savings analysis and obtaining project approval.
  • Serve as the regional lead in sustainability engagement opportunities that could include sustainability calendar of events, sustainability month coordination (speakers, forums, events, information exchange).
  • Be on the forefront of new technologies to bring innovation and change management within the sustainability space.

Skills / Experience Required

  • Program management experience.
  • Excellent skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of Tableau or visualisation skills is a plus.
  • Proven analytical knowledge. The ability to present data in an effective way. Knowledge of visualisation tool is a plus.
  • Passion for Sustainability.
  • Curiosity about data and impact of energy and sustainability initiatives.
  • Ability to present and articulate investment business cases at a senior client level.
  • Competency in current benchmark techniques and statistical analysis.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in architecture, engineering, energy, environment or a similarly relevant subject. Minimum of five years of related experience and/or training. Minimum of four years of program management experience preferred.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

  • CEM, NABERS and LEED accreditation preferred. Training and accreditation part of development and performance management requirements. MEI, CEng desirable.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
  • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues.

REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to comprehend, analyse, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

  • Carbon footprint reporting experience or training preferred. Training and accreditation part of development and performance management requirements.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.
