Job Title: ER Advisor – Case Management

Location: Preston – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £48,000 depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide coaching, advice and support to Line Managers on complex and sensitive ER cases across Head Office, Digital Intelligence and Shared Services business areas in the UK

  • Provide balanced advice that is legally compliant & in line with company policy to managers to mitigate and manage risk

  • Establish effective working relationships to ensure that relevant stakeholders are engaged and informed at the appropriate stages in each case, ensuring effective working relationships are created and maintained including Business HR and Trade Union / Employee representatives, Occupational Health, Labour Law etc. who interface with the Case Coaching Team

  • Work with key stakeholder groups to continuously improve line leader capability by challenging, influencing and supporting managers in a way that increases their knowledge, understanding and ability to manage ER cases effectively

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • HR background, and proven experience of ER and Case Management

  • Deep working knowledge of Case Management policies and processes, and how these contribute to business value

  • Experience of working collaboratively and building and maintaining effective working relationships with stakeholders such as the Trade Unions and Employee Representative Groups

  • Experience in managing complex ER cases and risk mitigation, supporting a values led culture

  • Ability to prioritise and organise a high-volume workload and take a proactive approach to ensure tasks are completed within agreed service levels

  • Strong communications skills – verbal and written

Desirable

  • CIPD qualified (Level 5 or above or working towards it)

  • Competent in interpreting Case Management data to draw out actionable insights that create value for the HR Teams and Businesses

  • Experience in collaborating across multiple stakeholders within the business and the overarching HR model

The ER Case Management team:

The UK Case Coaching Team provides coaching, advice & support to Line Managers, Employees and their representatives across a wide range of ER matters.

This is a specialist role providing advice, guidance and support to Line Managers and other stakeholders engaged in managing a wide range ER case work. Case work will include matters such as investigation, disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability and performance. This is an exciting opportunity to build and maintain effective relationships and will work collaboratively with stakeholders both within and outside of the Case Coaching Team in line with Case Coaching initiatives.

There will be a requirement to travel to other locations to support case meetings and case load across the UK sites.
