Location: Bristol with Travel to London (hybrid working arrangements).

Employment type: Permanent full-time/ part-time.

Employment basis: The role is expected to be a full- time position however we are open to discussing a more flexible or part- time approach where possible.

Salary: £75,000 - £80,000k dependent on experience, plus bonus and other benefits.

Come and join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the most exciting and largest megaprojects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK's climate change agenda and energy policy. Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support. The project has started construction and is now seeking private investment. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.

We have a fantastic opportunity for European Pressurised Reactor (EPR) Programme Manager.

Our teams are set up to work flexibly, with a hybrid working approach between our offices and your home. We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively.

The Role

As the EPR Programme Manager, you work collaboratively across two projects to ensure structure, collaboration and the implementation of opportunities ensuring all work is delivered on time, within budget, and meets the highest standards of quality and safety. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of the UK's nuclear future, contributing to a sustainable and secure energy supply.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Project Management qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, or similar).
  • Experience in managing large-scale nuclear power plant construction or operations projects.
  • Familiarity with UK nuclear regulatory frameworks and safety standards.
  • Proven experience in programme management within large-scale, complex engineering or infrastructure projects, ideally in the nuclear or energy sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of the European Pressurised Reactor (EPR) technology and its application in nuclear power projects.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders and convey complex technical information clearly.
  • A solid understanding of project management methodologies, including risk management, cost control, and scheduling.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.

Sizewell C Limited (Sizewell C) is nuclear site licensed company whose business is to design, finance, construct, commission, operate, maintain, and eventually decommission the nuclear power plant and related infrastructure at Sizewell C in Suffolk. Sizewell C was formerly under the majority ownership of the EDF Group but is currently majority owned by HM Government and operates as an independent company.
