Brakes - A Sysco Company, are now recruiting for an Enterprise Risk Manager GB to join the us on a full time, permanent basis. You'll support the continuing development and delivery of our newly formed Enterprise Risk Team across the whole of the UK. This newly created role has a wide range of diversity and the opportunity to work with teams globally across Sysco.

Reporting to the Director of ERM, Europe, this role will maintain assurance and influence the Enterprise Risk Management Framework for the UK businesses to ensure that all enterprise risks companywide are effectively managed, including Operational, Cyber and Reputational. Involving regular interaction with the UK Exec Leadership teams, positively influencing the Enterprise Risk Management framework and culture to maximise resilience and mitigate risks. You'll also partner with and support the risk leaders in each division of the business to track and monitor the risks whilst monitoring mitigation planning.

This is a home-based role, however occasional travel across our GB network will be required, so flexibility with travel is required.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

• Work with Leadership community to ensure Enterprise Risks are monitored effectively on a regular basis.

• Ensure mitigations and controls are identified and completed to reduce the inherent risks in the risk Register, down to a tolerable 'residual risk' rating.

• Identify controls in collaboration with Internal Audit to test on a cyclical basis to ensure reliability

• Work with functional risk leads to ensure risks are fully owned and managed throughout the UK businesses and are reviewed and updated at least once per quarter.

• To support the Director of ERM, Europe to keep the UK Executive teams fully informed of progress and to highlight areas of weakness to ensure remedial actions are taken promptly

• To support (in conjunction with the Financial Control team) our SOX key control framework and ensure that these are built into our day-to-day processes and culture, to avoid it being perceived as a 'tick box' exercise

• To proactively support and develop the enterprise risk management framework to keep it relevant and part of the culture throughout the UK businesses through regular training and communications.

• Support the governance of risk in monthly working group meetings and in quarterly Exec steerco meetings, including the agenda, attendees, cadence and format

About you:

You'll be an experienced Enterprise Risk Manager, ideally in a large multisite or national organisation. Specific experience in broader Enterprise risk management is essential to support with the complexity and ambiguity this role offers. We're looking for someone who is highly motivated and able to positively influence senior stakeholders and drive business performance. Conceptual thinking is critical to recognise cause-and-effect as well as trends and patterns into compelling action plans.
