As the UK's foremost supplier of fresh, chilled, and frozen potato products, we are looking for an exceptional Engineering Shift Manager to oversee our Chilled division.
This pivotal role involves managing engineering operations during your shifts, ensuring our chilled production systems function seamlessly and meet high standards of efficiency and safety. You will lead a dedicated team of engineers, implementing best practices in maintenance and troubleshooting while driving operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all engineering activities during your shift in the Chilled division, ensuring optimal performance of production equipment.
- Lead a team of engineers, motivating and developing them to maximize their potential and productivity.
- Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment failures and downtime.
- Collaborate with production managers to ensure alignment between engineering capabilities and production needs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, promoting a culture of safety among all team members.
- Utilize data to assess equipment performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage shift-related administrative tasks including reporting, documentation, and planning.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an engineering management role, particularly within the food production or FMCG sector.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems related to food processing.
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills, with the capability to manage and inspire a team.
- Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to food manufacturing environments.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, with a focus on chilled product production timelines.
- 4 on 4 off shift pattern- 12.5 hour shifts between 6.30AM-7.30PM
