Engineering Project Co-ordinator

About the Function
This is a newly crafted position role sits within the Global Engineering team of Diageo that is a trusted partner to safely deliver outstanding Engineering Solutions that bring Diageo Products to the World. We succeed together through our versatile people, collaboration, agility and creativity.
Global Engineering works to define, build and embed standard processes for all capital engineering projects. We also implement projects wherever it is required of us. Through capital projects and innovative solutions, we enable the business to grow in line with the 6 must-do's - Safety, Value, Quality, Innovation, Sustainability, and Consistency.
Some of the top key responsibilities are;
- Support the implementation of Programme/Project Governance.
- Develop tiered reporting structure and ensure good communication, information flow and blocking issue routes.
- Document Control in line with Diageo standards and audit compliance.
- Develop workstream structure and tracking and ensure information flow between suppliers, consultants and project team.
- Main point of contact and work alongside internal Silent Season stakeholders
- Assist in the development of project plans, timelines, and achievements.
- Flag programme risks which are raised through the tiered governance structure.
- Assist in identifying project risks and issues which are raised in tiered governance structure and Implement risk mitigation outcomes
- Supervise the resolution of issues and updating risk registers.
- Work with silent season partners to identify scope changes early, and detail those changes and outcome.
- Budget Control that includes the development of cash forecasting.
- Support on cost management and reporting.
- Partner with Health & Safety Leads to develop compliant project documentation
- First point of escalation for internal partners.
- Coordinate project meetings, workshops, and presentations.
- Track resource allocation, availability and annual leave to optimise project efficiency.
- Attend project meetings and recording minutes / update action trackers
- Compile data and generate regular reports for project stakeholders.
- Develop audit schedules, supervise and communicate lessons/findings.
- Travel to site in line with duties as and when required.
You will be successful in this role if you;
- Have the ability to work well within a team as well as the ability to make effective decisions and thrive in situations where they can address problems.
- Work alongside both internal and external partners to achieve individual and shared outcomes.
- Have a desire to be proactive and build a positive experience for others.
- Have a full clean UK Driving License with >1 years of experience is required.
Skills required:
- Have validated IT skills as you are going to be responsible for management reporting systems
- Ability to collaborate and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with project teams and stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills to lead multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Meticulous approach to project documentation and data management.
- Experience of utilising a range of computer packages including Microsoft Office and SAP as well as open to learning new packages
- Ability to use initiative when required.
- A flexible approach to work and an ability to work under pressure.
- Self-confident and self-motivated.
