£80,000 + £5000 car allowance + 16% bonus

A leading FM provider are looking for an Engineering Operations Manager to oversee a major banking site in the Moorgate area. This is a great opportunity for a driven and experienced professional to step into a senior leadership role across a high-profile commercial site overseeing a multi-disciplinary engineering team, managing technical operations, and ensuring excellence in mechanical and electrical building services.
Duties:

• Managing and mentoring a team of engineers and technicians across M&E disciplines
• Setting shift patterns, allocating tasks, and supporting the day-to-day running of site operations
• Providing hands-on technical support when needed and troubleshooting operational issues
• Overseeing external contractors and subcontractors involved in maintenance and project work
• Managing building control systems and asset management platforms to ensure efficient operation
• Aligning site maintenance activities with client standards and ensuring full compliance
• Supporting the development and tracking of annual budgets, maintenance costs, and performance metrics
• Championing continuous improvement, conducting peer reviews, and contributing to technical assessments
• Working closely with client stakeholders to support changes to space usage, system configuration, and operational needs
• Acting as a point of escalation for technical and personnel issues, ensuring swift and professional resolution

Requirements:

• A solid background in mechanical or electrical engineering within commercial building services
• Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent, though extensive experience is also considered
• Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills - able to motivate, guide, and develop team members
• A pragmatic and solutions-focused approach to facilities management and operational delivery
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
