Bumble Inc. is looking for an Engineering Manager for the Service and Platform Engineering team.

The team is on a mission to empower all Bumble brands with reliable, scalable, future-proofed, economical, and compliant infrastructure and services, and the related operational support that enables rapid delivery and fast iterations for engineering.

We deliver high-quality services with outstanding performance and 24x7 availability for all our customers.

The team focuses on driving the development and maintenance of our infrastructure and services to support our diverse portfolio of internal customers including Platform As a Service, based on Kubernetes; Database and Storage solutions and services for our Data Analysis, Machine Learning and product development. We operate both in the cloud and on-prem.

What you'll do:

• As Engineering Manager for Service and Platform Engineering, you will be part of a talented cross-functional engineering management team, representing your team within the Bumble Tech organisation and driving complex change in collaboration with teams across the business
• Lead a team of some of the most senior infrastructure engineers in the business on the infrastructure modernisation programme, emphasising the Cloud.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute the technical roadmap for our offerings, aligning with business objectives and customer needs.
• Enforce best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment, ensuring the delivery of robust and reliable software solutions.
• Ensure successful project delivery and project management, including resource allocation, workload prioritization, and capacity planning to optimize team efficiency and meet project deadlines.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and technological advancements, adapting them to different environments.

About you:

• We are looking for a highly productive and inspirational technology manager who loves to operate within a rapidly changing environment and build strategic plans for your team.
• You have successfully run infrastructure transformation programs and cloud migrations.
• You've implemented complex customer-facing systems with high availability requirements.
• Experience in software engineering, with a focus on platform development.
• You are an experienced people manager - We expect that you have created a healthy team culture and attracted talent to deliver the best business outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a passion for staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
