JOB TITLE: ENGINEERING MANAGER / HEAD OF PROCESS & TECHNICAL SAFETY
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Providing engineering management, direction and leadership to contracts/projects which the incumbent is assigned as Engineering Manager
- Providing Technical, direction and leadership to the Process and Technical Safety Disciplines as Head of Discipline
- Engineering Management of multidiscipline teams supporting project delivery
- Ongoing assurance of technical integrity in engineering output
- From a detailed technical understanding of large scopes and the client's business drivers drive and focus the engineering team in the right direction
- Technical management of the Process and Technical Safety Disciplines
- Process & Technical Safety 1-Tec representative
- Engineering management and leadership where assigned as engineering manager to a contract or project
- Technical management and leadership to the Process and Technical Safety Disciplines
- Support and deputize for the Engineering Director in corporate/1-Tec activity; resourcing; external and internal audits; process and procedure reviews; input to tenders and proposals.
- Ensure Petrofac standards, processes and procedures applied in engineering delivery.
- Ensure the Process and Technical Safety functions are resourced, competent and capable of delivering workload with proven and competent personnel.
- Support Project Directors and Project Managers in providing value and technically robust solutions by reviewing and challenging estimates; assessing scopes to assure the best solution is provided; facilitating the resolution of engineering questions; resolve interdisciplinary conflicts and issues.
- Positively collaborate with colleagues across all service lines and functions to ensure maximum pull through from customers is achieved and developed
- Ensure that the Approved HSE Policy for engineering work is being adhered to and implemented by the staff and Subcontractors.
- Maintain an awareness of relevant current technology, changes to UK and International Standards and Codes of Practice and changes to UK legislation as it affects offshore and onshore work. Ensure engineers are made aware of these new developments.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Degree in an engineering discipline relevant to Process and Technical Safety
- Proven track record of delivery in similar roles and a grounding in engineering work within engineering contractors
- Significant UKCS experience essential.
- Proven leadership qualities in an engineering environment
- Ability to identify and develop talent within the engineering organization.
- Multidiscipline understanding and knowledge
- Ability to fully understand complex projects, client requirements and the project business drivers to ensure robust, value driven solutions are offered.
- Experience in a range of management roles and particularly technical delivery and assurance
- Strong communication and presentation skills at all levels essential
- Strong Commercial awareness
