Site Engineering Manager

Your Mission
Reporting to the Operations Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient operation of the engineering function, including day-to-day maintenance, preventative maintenance planning, and team management. The role focuses on continuous improvement to improve efficiency and output, reduce production and operational costs while ensuring compliance with food safety and health & safety standards.
What you will do
- Ensure compliance with legal regulations and international food safety standards.
- Oversee day-to-day maintenance of the plant, buildings, and primary utilities.
- Manage and coordinate new business initiatives and projects.
- Develop and implement a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule.
- Coach and develop the maintenance team to achieve high service levels.
- Monitor and manage maintenance budgets and KPIs.
- Ensure the availability of necessary spare parts and consumables.
- Oversee the automation architecture of the production site.
- Manage investment projects for utilities, facilities, and automation.
- Conduct calibration activities on production equipment.
What we expect from you
The ideal candidate would have:
- Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Manufacturing Engineering or relevant apprenticeship.
- NEBOSH/IOSH trained, CDM with C of C expertise.
- At least 5 years of maintenance experience in a comparable production environment.
- At least 5 years of managerial experience.
- Prince2 or similar qualification.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in data processing (SAP/Excel/PowerPoint).
