As an Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in the professional development of each direct report, focusing on personal growth and performance management, and helping to attract and recruit top engineering talent. You'll engage in technical discussions with engineers to create simple solutions for complex problems and collaborate with senior engineers to drive technical initiatives that enhance engineering practices and continuously evaluate your team's approach and process maturity. Engineering Managers work closely with product managers to influence the technical aspects of the roadmap and strategic direction.
You will be expected to shape and contribute significantly to technical discussions on code quality, testing strategy, and software architecture, supporting the team in making informed technical decisions and healthy engineering practices.

You'll:
• Align team efforts with strategic objectives and setting clear goals.
• Monitor team performance, facilitate retrospectives, and encourage continuous learning.
• Lead people management initiatives including recruiting, onboarding, performance reviews, and career advancement.
• Engage in technical discussions, architecture meetings, code reviews, and design sessions to foster a learning culture.
• Be able to integrate robust security practices into the development lifecycle, managing technical debt, balancing immediate project needs with long-term system health and maintainability.
• Have effective communication skills to ensure transparency and alignment across all organizational levels.
