Position Summary

Position Summary

The purpose of the position is to lead the Manufacturing Engineering team to ensure production efficiency while aligning strategic goals and tasks with company policies and procedures. Also, to participate in decision making that will have a significant impact on sustainability and growth efforts of the Operations.

• Lead and direct the Manufacturing Engineering team to obtain optimum productivity, while reaching strategic goals.

• Oversee Manufacturing engineering activities and team members to reach business goals and budget.

• Make sure that resources are utilised effectively and drive improvements.

• Reduce costs and improve manufacturing yields, using best practices and professional knowledge.

• Mentor and oversee technical and professional development of the manufacturing team.

• Own the manufacturing engineering activities cost quality (COQ) projects and products yield improvements.

• Investigate performance/electronic issues to root cause and implement solutions with reactive support issues.

• Responsible for containment of work in progress. Act to minimise impact to yield, COQ, communicate potential yield loss/delivery impact cross functionally.

• Develop, implement and continuously improve policies, standards, and procedures.

• Manage staff selection, performance, development and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities to reach business goals and expectations.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Manufacturing Engineering environment, background in Aerospace is highly desirable.

• Experience in leading CAPEX projects and major installation/improvement works.

• Effective project management - develop effective project management tools and techniques.

• Experience and ability to work in fast-paced environment.

• Confident in using SAP ERP.

• Good understanding of CAD.

• 8D - Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma.

• APQP, PFMEA, PPAP, SPC.
