Job Title: Software Integration Engineer

Location: New Malden. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Up to £47,000 depending on experience and skills

What you’ll be doing:

  • Carry out the technical aspects of SI Infrastructure Integration activities through the application of engineering processes and be involved with the good experience of SI integration and build processes
  • Managing defects and ensuring progression to fix/closure
  • Ability to lead and develop more junior team members
  • Managing system configurations, reviewing and approving updates from other team members
  • Assist in development of in-house tools to support integration activities

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • An experienced systems engineer, preferably with a software engineering background
  • Experienced in Integration and delivery of complex systems
  • Software development and integration experience
  • System experience – COTS hardware technology, Windows, VMWare

Desirable:

  • Experience within a Naval Combat Systems Development Environment across multiple lifecycle phases

“Degree qualified or equivalent experience, likely to be in a technology, engineering, science or IT related discipline.

Some disciplines may require a Masters level education.

Chartered Engineer, or other relevant, equivalent professional registration.

Member of appropriate professional institution, ideally working towards Fellow.”

The Shared Infrastructure (SI) Integration team:

The role will be as a Shared Infrastructure Software Integration Engineer carrying out day-to-day hands-on activities on the target system. To undertake a defined range of SI related, systems engineering activities in line with all relevant processes and quality requirements under the direction of the SI Work Package Manager and Integration Team Technical Specialist.
