Job Description

As an Energy and Metering Manager, you will be a key member of the Utilities team, supporting the reduction of Heathrow's operating costs and increasing employee and partnership engagement. Working as part of a data driven team, you will play a vital role in identifying cost-saving opportunities, reducing energy and water consumption, and helping to deliver Heathrow's sustainability and environmental commitments.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the airport metering strategy and developing positive relationships with business units, partners, and third-party consumers.
  • Monitoring energy and water usage across the Heathrow estate, to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, embed the metering strategy and improve metering coverage.
  • Working collaboratively to significantly improve utilities consumption, ensuring value for money, and supporting reductions in the airport utilities budgets.
  • Responsible for Heathrow's water and the metering contracts.
  • Ensuring Heathrow's energy management system is fully embedded and achieving results in line with our commitment to ISO50001 plans, legal compliance, and environmental targets.
  • Produce and manage the production of high-quality performance reports, tailored to meet the respective needs of all parties, to enable effective management and governance of financial and budgetary performance. Developing and championing a collaborative working environment with health, safety and environmental sustainability at its core.

Qualifications

  • Strong track record of managing stakeholders to deliver business improvement and change in a complex environment.
  • Effective problem solver, with the ability to apply a challenging and analytical approach to complex issues.
  • Experience driving improvements and delivering best practice in the utilities and contract environment.
  • Experience working with a management system, preferably ISO 50001.
  • Collaborative working and strong influencing skills.
  • Experience gained within a technical or engineering environment.

Working Location

Our agile approach offers the opportunity to combine home working with meetings, events and training at the airport. All roles involve some on-site working each week, so you'll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
