The Role

You'll be working as part of the Emerging Talent team and will be supporting the overarching delivery of the attraction, selection, onboarding and development of our Technology Emerging Talent at HSBC in Sheffield. This includes graduates, apprentices, interns and Women in Technology programme participants. The coordinator role plays a crucial part in the success of our programmes, ensuring smooth delivery through exceptional organisational skills, strong attention to detail and a passion for people.

This is a varied role and will be involved in nearly all facets of the emerging talent journey. You could be supporting with school and university events, liaising with current graduates and apprentices and other stakeholders, organising Assessment Centres, sending marketing communications and organising some training - all within the same week. This is a fluid role, perfect for someone highly organised who has an interest in working with people, and aspirations of growing a career in emerging talent recruitment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Logistics & events management - room bookings, catering, event bookings, registration and follow up comms
  • Attending and facilitating events in our HSBC Sheffield office, in the local area and virtually
  • Diary management - organisation of shared team diaries, events calendars, supporting diary management of stakeholders i.e. assessors/speakers
  • Provide administrative support for set up of virtual Assessment Centres including managing timetables and diary placeholders, managing and sourcing assessors, briefing candidates, moving candidates between virtual rooms, facilitating networking sessions and supporting assessors with ad hoc queries
  • Support the offer process - candidate outcome calls, preparation of conditional offer emails, keep offer tracker up to date with acceptances and managing reneges/declines
  • Building a network of apprentices and graduates in Sheffield including mobilising them to support with events, getting their feedback and supporting their development
  • Foundational data analysis activities
  • Various other ad hoc activities to support the effective running of the emerging talent attraction and selection strategy

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Experience of organising events
  • Experience of working with different customers and colleagues
  • Experience of juggling multiple priorities simultaneously
  • This team focuses on attracting and recruiting diverse talent for technology emerging talent roles at HSBC, such as Cyber Security specialists, Data Analysts and Software Engineers, so an interest in technology or learning more about technology recruitment is desirable but you don't need to be an expert.
