EMEA Sustainability Consulting Lead

Job Description:

As the EMEA Sustainability Consulting Lead, you will drive the integration of sustainable business transformation (BX) products and services across our client portfolio. You will work across the dentsu organisation as part of dentsu's BX practice to develop, sell and execute sustainable BX client solutions, and play a key role in expanding our sustainability consulting capabilities at dentsu.

This role will primarily interface with CMO and senior marketing clients, as well as ESG and Sustainability Innovation teams to design strategies for enhanced business performance, as well as lead the development of new products and services that deliver against sustainability targets and contribute to the health and wellbeing of each brand's consumers and society at large.

*This role could be located in our UK&I or DACH regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Sustainability Consulting Services Development: Develop and implement innovative sustainability consulting services that align with client goals and regulatory standards, enhancing their competitive edge and business performance true to dentsu's innovation to impact go-to-market
• Integrated Team Leadership and Development: Work across our BX Practice and with other practice area (Creative, Media and CXM) strategists, fostering an environment of learning and growth while ensuring delivery of high-impact client solutions.
• Business Development: Actively seek new business opportunities - both amongst existing and prospective new clients, develop proposals, and lead pitches that demonstrate dentsu's strengths in Sustainability Consulting to prospective clients.
• BX & Strategy Community Upskilling: Upskill our BX team and wider Strategy Community to sell Sustainability Consulting services.
• Client Engagement: Guide clients through the complexities and opportunities of Sustainable Business Transformation, from initial assessment to strategy implementation, ensuring alignment with their broader business objectives.
• Thought Leadership and Innovation: Position dentsu as a leader in Sustainable Business Transformation Consulting through external Sustainability Consulting thought leadership, innovative solutions (including leveraging dentsu Lab), and active engagement in industry dialogues and events, true to our legacy in Sanpo Yoshi
• Proposition Enhancement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and practice areas to refine and evolve our sustainability consulting products and services, ensuring they remain cutting-edge and highly relevant to market needs.
• Industry Innovation & Benchmarking: Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging best practices to keep dentsu's offerings at the forefront of sustainable innovation. Position yourself amid expert network within EMEA.
• EMEA Corporate Sustainability Lead Collaboration: Collaborate with teams and initiatives focused on internal sustainability to ensure alignment and leverage synergies when positioning internally and externally, and alignment on upskilling our BX and wider Strategy Community. Jointly further our employer branding positioning around sustainability purpose.
• Global Team Collaboration: Work closely with our Sustainable Business Transformation global team and our BX Practice leads to extend existing products and programmes into the EMEA region, as well as recommend new approaches and solutions based on the regional need.

What we are looking for in you:

• Proven success in strategic consulting, with a strong commercial focus on sustainability consulting, sustainability business transformation, sustainability strategy development and implementation.
• Senior gravitas. Experience consulting with CMOs and Marketing Leads. Ease in collaborating with C-levels.
• Experience leading and scaling global sustainability service offerings for clients is essential.
• Understanding of key needs for EMEA maturity landscape and demonstrable experience of localising approach based on market needs.Track record in pitch winning strategies, new business development and retained client growth. Strong sales capabilities.
• Deep understanding of global sustainability consumer. commercial and corporate trends, Sustainability reporting standards, and experience in integrating sustainability into business strategies.
• Expert knowledge of the EMEA sustainability regulatory landscape.
• Product and tech affinity highly favoured.
• Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, capable of mentoring teams and leading by example in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to articulate complex sustainability concepts to a variety of audiences, including C-Suite executives and sustainability representatives.
• Ability to create visual impactful assets derived from complex data covering technical topics.
• Strong analytical capabilities with a knack for interpreting complex data to drive strategy and decision-making.

• Ability to lead integrated teams across dentsu and on the client side
