The Physical Security department is responsible for the overall security of the company's personnel, physical assets and facilities. Based on security risks, the Physical Security team establishes and continuously improves security policies, procedures & standards, infrastructure, human and technical preventive measures, employee security awareness, alarm and incident response capabilities, etc., to safeguard the company's business operations worldwide.
As the Regional Crisis Manager, you will be responsible for advancing & operationalising the Crisis Management program for the region, and also be the crisis coordinator/ advisor of Local/ Regional CMTs across your region with quick response and solving issues and problems. Your quick thinking and stakeholder management skills will be put to practical use to resolve crises by your team in a timely and appropriate manner.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for overall facilitating the adoption, operationalization, development & continuous improvement of the ByteDance Physical Security (PSec) global crisis management strategy throughout the region.
- Lead and organise complex activities supporting existing and new tactical/ strategic PSec Crisis Management Teams (CMT) in the region.
- Collaborate with, influence and build trusted relationships with regional partners and senior business leaders to build program awareness/ traction, enhance user experience, and drive the further improvement of the PSec Crisis Management (CM) program in the region.
- Responsible for tracking/maintenance/advancement of each PSec CMT's maturity & readiness.
- Responsible for establishing/ maintaining CMT rosters & response plans.
- Lead the design & conduct of PSec CMT training & risk-based exercises/ workshops regionally.
- Monitor existing/emerging PSec threats/risk landscape & enhance PSec preparedness.
- To lead & facilitate real-time CMT activation coordination/ scribe, in partnership with the security managers and cross-functional partners in the regions/countries.
- Lead the facilitation of post incident review sessions.
- Work with key partners to follow up on and close any gaps; and maintain/ enhance key preparedness tools, capabilities and risk registers.
- Drive consistent methodology, approach, and standards regionally in accordance with global CM program.
- Support central program development projects and execution to further develop and enhance the CM program globally.
- Communicate crisis management concepts in a digestible manner to non-technical audience.
- Manage and mentor Crisis Specialists, or junior members of the team, to support regional needs.
- Reports to Global Crisis Manager (non-China).
- Up to 40% travel to be expected.
- Any other duties as required.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications
- Crisis management operations, planning and/or exercises, including program design and implementation at the regional/global-level.
- Strong project management skills and thought leadership.
- Coordinating corporate functions in a highly complex environment (multi-national preferred).
- Writing clearly and succinctly, and in a manner which appeals to a wide audience.
- Smart judgements and principled decision-making during high-urgency situations.
- Global and diverse business environments.

Preferred qualifications
- 5+ years experience.
- Past management experience.
- In-depth understanding of Middle East geopolitics.
- 5+ years crisis management experience within METAP.
