Our company has experienced significant growth in the EMEA region over the last five years and plans for further expansion. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented EMEA Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic HR team. The successful candidate will manage payroll processing across multiple countries within the EMEA region, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all payroll-related activities. This role requires a strong understanding of country-specific payroll regulations, tax laws, and social security requirements.
In this Role, you'll get to
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple EMEA countries, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
- Ensure compliance with country-specific payroll regulations, tax laws, and social security requirements.
- Collaborate with local payroll providers to collect and validate payroll inputs, including salaries, benefits, allowances, and deductions.
- Review and validate payroll calculations, including statutory deductions, bonuses, and overtime.
- Coordinate payroll data integration between HR systems and local payroll systems, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Reconcile and validate payroll outputs, including pay slips, tax filings, and social security contributions.
- Address payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues from employees across various countries.
- Stay updated with changes in payroll legislation and compliance requirements for the EMEA region.
- Collaborate with HR Ops, HRBP, finance, and tax teams for accurate employee data management and seamless payroll integration.
- Provide guidance and support to HR and finance teams on payroll processes, compliance, and reporting.
- Participate in evaluating and implementing payroll system upgrades or enhancements.
- Coordinate year-end payroll processes, including the production of annual tax statements and compliance reports.
- Conduct periodic payroll audits to ensure data accuracy, identify discrepancies, and resolve payroll-related issues.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities for payroll-related audits, compliance checks, and reporting.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in EMEA payroll management.
What you'll Need to Succeed
- Continuous learning mindset and adaptability to changing payroll requirements.
- Certification in payroll or related fields is advantageous.
- Understanding of data protection and confidentiality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective organisational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Strong understanding of statutory deductions, tax rates, social security, and benefits regulations.
- In-depth knowledge of EMEA payroll legislation, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with local payroll providers and managing external vendor relationships.
- Proven minimum 5-years' experience as an EMEA Payroll Specialist or similar role.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related fields.
