EMEA Finance Manager

At Trammell Crow Company (TCC), part of CBRE Group, Inc. (NYSE: CBRE), we are recruiting an EMEA Finance Manager to support our financial operations across TCC EMEA and Telford Living, focused on large-scale industrial logistics development and investment initiatives throughout the region.

About this role

The EMEA Finance Manager works within the TCC and Telford Living Corporate Accounting Finance team and to support financial and management reporting across EMEA. This position is responsible for supporting key financial processes, including month-end close, annual audits, and financial statement reviews across EMEA. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, high attention to detail, excellent communication, collaborative mindset, and a deep understanding of real estate development finance. This role will report into the TCC EMEA Finance Director and will be based in London.

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Support the month-end close process by reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, month-over-trend analysis, and intercompany statements. Ensure accuracy and completeness in reporting, in compliance with US GAAP.
  • Prepare consolidation assessments under US GAAP, specifically Variable Interest Entity (VIE) versus Voting Interest Entity (VOE).
  • Prepare accounting memos on topics such as revenue recognition and accounting for acquisitions and/or disposals.
  • Review real estate valuations monthly, ensure roll forwards are properly recorded per GAAP, and document accounting changes with the US Technical & Accounting team.
  • Review annual financial statements including all statutory disclosures in accordance with relevant local GAAP and CBRE accounting policies.
  • Partner with the technology division on system maintenance, implementation, upgrades, automation and customization to encourage the adoption of technology-based solutions and enhancements.
  • Support key CBRE-wide projects including global balance sheet and intercompany program.
  • Liaise with internal specialists and external tax advisers to ensure compliance with all tax filing requirements and appropriate and accurate reporting in the financial statements. Responsibility for accurate submissions & payment to HMRC for all VAT registrations in the Group.
  • Review subsidiary trial balances, transfer pricing, intercompany consolidations, and month-end reports, supporting the Finance team to prepare and approve closing journal entries.

Key Skills/Experience

  • Qualified ACA or CPA with 5+ years of professional experience preferably Big4.
  • Strong technical experience with UK GAAP, IFRS and UK Law and regulations.
  • Practical experience in joint venture accounting and property development.
  • Positive mindset with a drive to continually improve and challenge existing processes.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and team player mentality.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft, OneStream, Trintech Cadency and Workiva is desirable.
