Job title: Electronics Communications Engineer

What you’ll be doing:
- Producing and reviewing documentation required to support the test review process, including: technical specifications; supporting calculations; design evidence and test documentation
- Overseeing Test and Acceptance of Internal Communications requirements for a range of systems and technologies e.g. Analogue and digital Telecommunications systems, Voice Over IP (VOIP) networks, Data switches, Broadcast (PA) and trunked radio systems
- Liaising with internal and external customers as part of a technical team to understand the system under test along with dealing with system queries
- Conducting testing in a high assurance Engineering environment
- Taking ownership of System Testing
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Technical knowledge of Electronics, Telecommunications Systems & Applications
- Experience working within one or more of the following disciplines Analogue and Digital Voice systems, Voice Over IP (VOIP) networks, Cisco switches, Broadcast (PA) and trunked radio systems
- Degree level qualification or equivalent extensive experience in a similar role
Desirable:
- Experience of Test and/or Acceptance within a high assurance engineering environment

The Test and Facilities (ICPDS) Team:
Working within a small team of experienced engineers as a Senior Engineer, you shall install, and test hardware and/ or software to provide test evidence, along with Producing and reviewing documentation, of a systems ability to function correctly, prior to deployment onto the platform. The complex nature of the products places demands across a range of specialist subject areas, which with existing experience and in role training and development you will support.
