About the Role:

SSE Renewables are excited to share that opportunities have arisen for Electrical System Infrastructure (ESI) Package Managers within 2 of our biggest projects in our Offshore Development Portfolio - Dogger Bank D and Berwick Bank.

The fourth phase for the world's largest offshore wind farm, and a joint venture project between SSE Renewables and Equinor, Dogger Bank D Project will maximise the capacity of the eastern portion of the original Dogger Bank C.

Located in the North Sea, in the outer Firth of Forth, Berwick Bank Project has the potential to deliver up to 4.1GW of installed capacity, making it one of the largest offshore opportunities in the world. The project has the potential to power over six million homes and could avoid eight million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions every year.

Base Location:Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key sites, which includes but is not limited to: - Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness or Dublin.

Salary: £/€ Competitive dependent upon experience + car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Key Accountabilities:

As ESI Package Manager for either Berwick Bank or Dogger Bank D, you'll be responsible for all matters relating to the design, specification, supply, transportation, installation and commissioning of the project's onshore and offshore ESI scopes.

Some of your other main accountabilities will include;

- Leading package teams to develop robust technical, procurement and delivery strategies by evaluating technical options, considering emerging technology solutions and value improvement opportunities.

- Ensuring the delivery of contract packages including the design, supply, construction and commissioning of substation platforms, export and land cables, civils enabling works, and electrical system infrastructure for HVAC and HVDC systems.

- Supporting planning, consenting and land acquisition activities.

- Outlining resource requirements, people development and agreeing resource plans that are aligned with the overall programme.

- Supporting Offshore Transmission Operator (OFTO) requirements, grid engagement, internal project governance and budget management.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Experience of leading, developing and motivating a multi-disciplined package team on large projects.

- Extensive knowledge and understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and practices, including CDM.

- A background encompassing electrical system design, supply, manufacture and installation on major projects.

- Provenproject management expertise and a track record of delivering major projects, especially contracting strategy, planning, cost, risk, quality, and commercial management.

- Comfortable operating within an environment of high uncertainty and rapid change, with the ability to clearly present key decisions and messages at senior levels.
