Electrical Site Manager - Oxford

Danny Sullivan Group are currently looking for a Site Manager to oversee the daily operations of electrical and substation projects that are being carried out.
The ideal candidate for this role would have proven experience in working on similar projects in the past and an understanding on carrying out safe and timely works on site.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage site operations, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and company standards.
• Oversee the construction and installation of electrical systems.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily construction activities.
• Ensuring alignment with project schedules.
• Manage site personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations (including CDM regulations).
• Conduct site safety inspections, toolbox talks, and enforce safety procedures.
• Ensure risk assessments and method statements are in place.
• Ensure that project quality standards are maintained.
• Review and approve project plans, designs, and drawings in collaboration with the design team.
• Manage site documentation, including daily logs, site records, and quality assurance documentation.
• Liaise with the project manager, client representatives, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
• Manage subcontractor performance and resolve any issues that may impact project delivery.
• Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to budget constraints.
• Handle contract variations and oversee procurement of materials and services.
• Provide regular updates and progress reports to the project manager and key stakeholders.
• Attend project meetings and provide input on project progresses and risks.
• Maintain effective communication with on-site personnel, subcontractors, and clients.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager in the construction industry, specifically working on electrical or substation projects.
• Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management (or a related field).
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, high-voltage and medium-voltage Installations.
• Excellent understanding of construction contracts, particularly NEC or JCT contracts.
• CSCS Card.
• First Aid certification.
• NEBOSH or IOSH certification (preferred).
