Electrical Pre-Construction Manager

Danny Sullivan Group are looking for an Electrical Pre-construction Manager to cover multiple sites in Slough/Reading/Iver.
The ideal candidate for this role would have an understanding of working projects and come from a solid Substation/Electrical background with a wealth of experience and knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the creation of project plans, budgets, and timelines during the pre-construction phase. Collaborate closely with the estimating team to generate precise cost estimates and proposals for prospective projects.
- Conduct site evaluations and due diligence to assess project feasibility, site conditions, and regulatory requirements. Identify potential risks, constraints, and opportunities that could affect project delivery.
- Facilitate the design process in coordination with architects, engineers, and consultants to produce comprehensive design packages for construction projects. Review design drawings, specifications, and documentation to ensure they meet project requirements.
- Apply value engineering techniques to enhance project design, materials, and construction methods. Seek opportunities to reduce costs, improve quality, and boost project efficiency while adhering to project goals.
- Manage the procurement process for subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors. Solicit bids, negotiate contracts, and award subcontracts in line with project specifications and company policies.
- Ensure response is given to all relevant regulations, codes, and standards throughout the pre-construction phase. Secure necessary permits, approvals, and licenses for construction projects.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to grasp project requirements, objectives, and expectations. Provide regular updates and progress reports on pre-construction activities and milestones.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and uncertainties during the pre-construction phase. Develop risk management plans and strategies to address potential issues and minimize project delays and disruptions.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in construction project management, with a focus on pre-construction activities.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and best practices.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, codes and standards (e.g., CDM regulations, building codes) is desirable.
