Whilst we continue to strengthen that foundation and extend its reach, we're in an exciting period of acceleration and transformation that will see us enable more connectivity and compute to more communities and industries across the UK.

This role has been created to provide dedicated support to both the Electrical and Operations teams in the delivery of electrical remedial projects across the Cornerstone estate.

You'll play a key role in assuring the quality and compliance of electrical works, reviewing designs before work begins and validating completed installations to ensure they meet current British Standards, regulatory requirements, and Cornerstone specifications.

Working closely with internal stakeholders and delivery partners, you'll help ensure remedial activities are planned, reviewed, tracked, and completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.
This is part electrical engineer, part technical assurance specialist, part compliance expert:
Reviewing electrical designs and remedial solutions before works commence
Assessing completed works through certification and evidence reviews
Validating compliance with industry standards and Cornerstone specifications
Managing quality assurance and approval processes through internal systems
Supporting the successful delivery of a large-scale electrical remediation programme

Cornerstone is delivering a significant electrical remediation programme focused on high-risk and high-priority sites across its estate.

Over the next 12 months this programme will help bring installations into compliance with current British Standards and Cornerstone requirements, improving the overall safety, reliability, and integrity of our infrastructure.
The work you do will play a critical role in ensuring electrical works are designed correctly, delivered to the required standard, and fully compliant before being accepted into service.

What You'll Do ✨
⚡ Review Electrical Designs
Review electrical designs prior to works commencing to ensure compliance with current British Standards, regulations, and Cornerstone specifications.
Assess technical drawings, schematics, and supporting documentation to validate proposed solutions.
Identify design deficiencies and support the implementation of corrective actions where required.

✅ Assure Quality and Compliance
Review handover packs following completion of works.
Assess electrical certification, photographic evidence, and video records to confirm installations have been completed to the required standard.
Validate and qualify remedial works, ensuring identified defects and compliance issues have been fully resolved.

Manage Governance and Approvals
Maintain accurate reviews and approvals through company systems.
Ensure documentation is complete, traceable, and audit-ready throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide clear visibility of compliance status and project progress.

Collaborate with Stakeholders
Work closely with Electrical, Operations, and project delivery teams.
Build effective relationships with suppliers and delivery partners to support successful project outcomes.
Provide technical guidance and assurance throughout the delivery process.

Support Programme Delivery
Contribute to the successful delivery of a high-profile remediation programme across the Cornerstone estate.
Help ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with programme objectives.
Identify opportunities to improve quality, compliance, and process efficiency.

What You'll Bring
You'll be an experienced electrical professional with a strong background in electrical design, installation, inspection, testing, and certification.
You will have a detailed understanding of electrical compliance requirements and be confident assessing both designs and completed installations to ensure works meet required standards and specifications.

You'll bring:
Extensive experience within the electrical industry, covering electrical design, installation, inspection, testing, and certification.
Proven experience using Modecsoft Electrical OM.
A strong understanding of current British Standards, electrical regulations, and industry best practice.
The ability to interpret and assess electrical design drawings, schematic diagrams, technical documentation, and certification records.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess compliance, identify defects, and validate remedial works.
Experience reviewing electrical installations and ensuring works are delivered to the required quality and compliance standards.

Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to technical review and quality assurance.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams.
Experience working within complex technical, compliance, or project delivery environments.
Knowledge of the NICEIC Approved Contractor Scheme and its associated requirements would be advantageous.
You'll also hold:
City & Guilds 2396 - Level 4 Award in the Design and Verification of Electrical Installations.
City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 - Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations.
City & Guilds 2382 - 18th Edition Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS 7671:2018).
