We have a great opportunity for an Electrical Control & Instrumentation Engineer with strong interpersonal skills to join our team at our Cameronbridge Distillery. The role is a rotating shift of days, backs and nights working 8 hours per shift.

Base salary including shift allowance £62,399.07 + competitive benefits package including pension, shares scheme and bonus!

About the role:

As an Electrical Control & Instrumentation Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and improvement of all assets across our Cameronbridge site. You'll be working closely with Operations teams, Maintenance planners and Craft groups to ensure all mandatory and requested maintenance is effectively delivered with minimal impact on production. You'll be ensuring the correct spare parts are available to carry out maintenance tasks in accordance with a weekly/daily asset care delivery plan. Following Health and Safety policy as well as ensuring it is adhered to on sites is a crucial element of this role.

• Responding promptly and efficiently to plant breakdown situations. Analyse, fault find and repair, then root cause problems to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum.

• Accurately recording and promptly reporting the outcome of maintenance issues via SAP MMS to facilitate the sharing of best practice.

Implementing best practice processes and procedures maximising effectiveness and efficiency, ensuring a strong interface with all key relationship teams.

• Attending/Leading all critical tier meetings at sites - representing asset care.

Providing feedback on mechanical improvement workstreams relative to sites or engineering. Participating with relevant stakeholders on Continuous Improvement

• Working with Operations to develop and deliver focused improvements to drive plant uptime and cost competitiveness.

About you:

  • HNC level qualification in engineering or equivalent experience
  • Time served Engineer with Hands-on maintenance / Engineering experience
  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to drive improvements
  • Ability to organise a variety of tasks and prioritise self and others accordingly
  • Knowledge of Reliability Maintenance techniques
  • Experience in data analysis, use of applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and business systems such as SAP
  • Able to work as individual but also part of team. Have meticulous attention to detail
  • Some of our sites operate on a 24/7 basis. Jobholder may be required to provide 24hr breakdown cover as part of a pre-determined rota.
  • Some of our sites will require a full UK driving license with the necessary in order to drive company vehicles.
