We're hiring an Editorial Executive as part of our team in London working on a hybrid basis.

Purpose of the Role

The purpose of this role is to conceptualise and realise ideas through a comprehensive use of language and the written word. The ideal candidate can think holistically about how ideas come to life through all creative channels of a consumer experience.

They write and edit copy in short form and long form to establish the tonality of ideas. They are eager to learn and develop to become the most creative and effective copywriter they can be.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write and edit copy for a key client, meeting deadlines and high editorial standards
  • Express ideas with clarity: On brand, on message, and targeted to a specific audience
  • Present ideas to both the wider internal team and, occasionally, externally to clients with structure and confidence
  • Understand brand continuity, guidelines, and positioning
  • Creatively support the effective use of technology and its applications to solve business problems
  • Drive, define and feedback on the quality of copywriting briefs from other teams with confidence
  • Proactively identify opportunities for creative work and the improvement of the day to day for clients, with guidance from senior leaders

Candidate Profile

  • Background in writing through education or a previous role (writing samples are a plus)
  • Basic understanding of SEO
  • Creativity and the ability to come up with fresh ideas
  • Attention to detail: Meticulous grammar, spelling and punctuation
  • Receptive to feedback and learning: We're not looking for the finished product, but someone who is keen to learn and improve
  • Good organisation, communication, and teamwork
