EDI Research & Insights Manager (Fixed term 30 months)

Leeds Beckett University has a fantastic opportunity to deliver an exciting and innovative Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with PGMOL (Professional Game Match Officials Ltd) - the organisation responsible for the training, development and appointment of professional match officials across all levels of English football. PGMOL is highly visible with officials active in every professional match including the Premier League.
The 30-month project will develop, monitor and evaluate pioneering EDI (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) initiatives across multiple levels of the professional and grassroots game leading to the development of a more diverse and representative community of officials. The project will also explore how the EDI initiatives can contribute towards the retention and development of income-generating revenue streams via the offer of consultancy and training to other sports and the corporate market.
We are looking for an enthusiastic graduate with a Masters in Humanities, Sport, Sociology or related discipline. We encourage applications from a self-starter with excellent critical thinking and project management skills. You should have knowledge and insight into EDI challenges and an awareness of the organisational challenges of implementing these in a commercial environment. You will need to be an excellent communicator, be confident to bring new ideas, challenge at all levels of the business, and be passionate and enthusiastic to drive the project forward.
This role is a government funded Knowledge Transfer Partnership project. It provides you with an invaluable opportunity to fast-track your career development and establish your position as an industry leader of tomorrow. You will benefit from a management training programme and a substantial personal development budget of £5000 to help you develop your skills. There is also the opportunity to study for a higher degree (PhD or MRes) with fee waiver.
You will be supported by a multi-disciplinary team of academic experts from Leeds Beckett University's School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the School of Events, Tourism and Hospitality Management and Carnegie School of Sport. You will work alongside an engaged and forward-thinking leadership team at PGMOL gaining wide-ranging and senior-level experience.
You will be officially based at PGMOL in Lon don and you will feel, to all intents and purposes, part of the PGMOL team. Hybrid working and regular travel within the UK will be a part of this role and possession of a driving license and access to your own vehicle insured for business use will be essential.

The project provides dedicated budgets to support training and development (£2k pa) alongside opportunities to access the university's pension scheme, staff benefits and discounts, staff training and development programmes as well as high level support from expert Leeds Beckett academics. The university also offers candidates the opportunity to study for a higher degree (MRes, MPhil or PhD) with a fee waiver in place.
There is a travel and subsistence budget included in the project.
