The Role

The Ecommerce Manager will be passionate about all things e-commerce and digital and will be responsible for the day-to-day trading of our 7 EU sites (4 translated) whilst assisting to execute the global business strategy and adapting it for local markets where necessary.

This role will suit somebody diligent who is excited and driven by innovation, with a laser focus on best in class site experiences that is beyond table stakes.

Reporting to the Senior Ecommerce Manager (UKROW), you will deliver EU sales plans through optimising the website to increase key KPIs. You should be highly commercial with a proven ability to drive growth and will be responsible for the day-to-day management and trade of our EU sites. You will be comfortable and confident with web analytics and continuously look for innovative ways to exceed targets. You will also prioritise relationship building as you work with Sales and Marketing colleagues to jointly identify and partner on driving brand awareness and traffic, as well as Supply Chain to ensure optimum stock levels.

The role will also support in sponsoring broader global ecommerce projects that contribute to the long term strategic trading of all regional sites. This role has ownership in forecasting of product allocations for new products, proposition strategies as well as managing and developing the EU ecommerce team consisting of an Ecommerce Assistant Manager & Ecommerce Coordinator.

This role is based in the UK.

The role and responsibilities:

  • Running of the ecommerce trade function for the EU markets, supporting the Senior Ecommerce Manager to deliver the strategy & identify opportunities for localisation
  • Be the key representative for the EU region within the digital function, understanding the nuances 'under the hood' in each market, sharing regional insights / broader market knowledge to guide teams on a day to day basis
  • Proactively share performance reports, analysis and insights on the ecommerce performance KPIs, establishing strong communication channels to help the rest of the organisation understand and leverage their channels. Interrogate and analyse reporting, owning the process for taking insight through to action (and reflecting on the impact).
  • Establish effective working relationships with Partners and internal partner managers, efficiently delivering all aspects of the organisation's ecommerce customer experience in partnership with key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to a culture of collaboration and agility, with a relentless focus on the customer, data & innovation to deliver and continually optimise brilliant online experience
  • Be a proactive and involved partner with both global and regional stakeholders in marketing and PR ensuring joined up plans that consider and in turn accelerate .com
  • Constantly seek to improve and re-engineer team and stakeholder processes to drive efficiency and increased productivity
  • Support as required with the revenue & KPI forecast process and populating models
  • Contribute to trade calendar planning meetings, building out by week a robust, consumer centric trade plan that will deliver against the revenue target submitted
  • Attend Digital Campaign Meetings with the wider Digital Teams & marketing to support & contribute to NPD launch plans and key calendar moments, ensuring commerciality and any localisation considerations are incorporated
  • Project manage key campaigns tied to peak retail periods during the year such as Summer Sale and Cyber Week alongside co-ordinators as key quarterbacks
  • Sampling management & forecasting for EU regions, working closely with Supply Chain to ensure adequate stock levels are in the warehouse and monitoring usage
  • Work closely with the Operations team to ensure optimum stock levels are always maintained and any OOS/at risk stock is managed effectively as well as communicated to wider Digital team
  • Connect the dots with customer care feedback ensuring insight is turned into an improved customer experience
  • Coordinating with the Content team to ensure all products and assets are created in time for launch, and are adapted to optimize for your local markets
  • Liaising with tech to ensure all ecom requirements are captured and prioritised, as well as work to support on the roadmap by sharing recommendations & feedback
  • Managing and developing a regional Co-ordinator & Assistant Manager, covering 1-2-1's, coaching and BAU support

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in e-commerce and digital is a must
  • Proficient in analytics platforms (Looker ideal)
  • Experience managing a multi-skilled team
  • Experience overseeing and driving growth in the EU
  • Confident and comfortable working in a fast-paced, reactive environment
  • Experience of analysing data, identifying benchmarks and converting into forecasts across retail KPis and product.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to project manage cross-functionally
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and commercial accumen
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage own time is imperative
  • Genuine, patient, enthusiastic and positive attitude
  • Eager to learn and values continued self-development
