Job Title: Early Careers & Skills Manager (Engineering, Digital and Software)

Salary: £58,000+ Depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage, and be accountable for, the EDAS / DTS apprenticeship programme provision. Ensuring outstanding learning and development opportunities for apprentices through highly effective work placements, off the job and specialist training, within an inclusive, supportive and safe work environment
  • Role model and champion proud professional behaviours, ensuring high standards and expectations are set and delivered and through a culture of continuous quality improvement all provision is aligned to Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ and awarding body compliance
  • Manage a team of Development Leaders ensuring successful planning, transition, workplace onboarding, delivery, support and progression of all apprentices with a core focus on delivering outstanding outcomes for learners
  • Manage the apprentice curriculum including on-the-job placement activity, provider delivery and in-house delivery ensuring alignment to business needs through active functional engagement
  • Work effectively with the Early Careers Manager (Quality & Funding) ensuring successful implementation of all apprenticeship quality assurance and development initiatives.
  • Provide and interpret accurate management data to effectively monitor performance against set KPIs and through progress surgeries, with a focus on ensuring timely performance and quality improvement interventions

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Engineering or Digital/Software qualification Level 5 or above
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Apprenticeships and awarding body compliance including Ofsted requirements
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience of quality of teaching, learning, assessment and assurance practices
  • Knowledge of digital technologies, trends, and best practices, with the ability to translate complex concepts into engaging and accessible learning experiences
  • Previous experience working in an engineering, manufacturing, digital/software or education environment
  • Proven line management experience

Desirable:

  • Teaching, Training & Development qualifications NVQ Level 4 or equivalent
  • Level 4 Leadership & Management qualifications
