About the role

As a Duty Manager, you'll play a hands-on leadership role in ensuring the smooth running of our busy late-night bar. You'll oversee the team on shift, manage customer experience, and keep operations running safely and efficiently in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shift Leadership - Take responsibility for the bar and floor team during your shift, ensuring excellent service, a lively atmosphere, and smooth operations into the early hours.
  • Customer Experience - Lead by example on the floor, engaging with guests, resolving issues quickly, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment.
  • Team Management - Motivate, brief, and support the team throughout the shift, keeping morale high and performance consistent.
  • Operational Control - Oversee tills, stock levels, and compliance with licensing laws and safety procedures.
  • Problem Solving - Respond calmly and effectively to unexpected challenges, from staffing gaps to customer incidents.
  • End-of-Night Duties - Handle cashing up, reporting, and venue close-down procedures with accuracy and accountability.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a supervisory or duty management role within hospitality, ideally in a late-night or high-volume environment.
  • Strong people management skills with the ability to lead by example.
  • Confidence in handling challenging situations and making quick decisions under pressure.
  • Good working knowledge of licensing regulations, health & safety, and security practices.
  • A passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
