Key job responsibilities
The objective of this role is to ensure operations meet the UK Safety and flight requirements.
In that capacity, they will act as the Safety Manager (SM) and as the flight operations expert. They will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and compliant operation, including measuring and improving Safety Performance Operations, preparing and conducting Safety Trainings and Safety Investigations.

They will also develop, administrate and maintain the Safety Manual of Prime Air's Operational Authorization application and conduct regular evaluations to ensure adherence to safety standards and procedures. Including the Prime Air's UAS specific operational risks and challenges, and monitoring CAA Part UAS and JARUS Part FCL including new and revised AMCs and GMs for changes, in collaboration with the UK Operations Manager. And Ensuring that Prime Air's documentation is revised to reflect CAA regulatory changes.

They will also develop trainings for flight operators, ground crew, and other personnel related to flight safety, workplace health & safety (WHS), and flight operations.
This position may be subject to additional terms including medical checks, drug/alcohol and background screening at pre-employment and during post-employment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety-critical role within the aviation industry or another regulated environment.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience within the aviation industry or another regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Flight Safety, WHS, and Flight Operations regulations and procedures.
• UK GVC drone pilot certification, or demonstrated capability of achieving a UK Remote Pilot Competency (RPC) Level 3 or 4 (or equivalent).
• Experience in operating unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) or extensive general aviation experience.
• Experience owning Safety Manuals to meet the regulated environment updating according to the new/next standards.
• Experience in support, development and implementation of comprehensive training programs.
• Experience serving as the primary point of contact for frontline regulatory partners during inspections and visits.
• Experience in analyzing data and metrics to identify trends and potential risks, and report findings to senior leadership.
• Experience in conducting routine audits of operations, WHS site safety, and compliance, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Experience in working collaboratively with all levels of the organization to promote a strong safety culture.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Aviation, safety, or a related field preferred.
