Permanent contract | £48,610 to £52,594 per annum (Scale L) | 37 hours per week | County Hall, Norwich
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Housing and Capital Programmes Team to lead our support in safe accommodation duty. Are you dynamic, good with data and a great communicator? If so, this will be great way to develop your skills and knowledge in relation to domestic abuse services in Norfolk and more particularly about support in safe accommodation and our Duties under the Domestic Abuse Act 2021.
Managing Norfolk County County's Domestic Abuse programme your remit will include a wide range of activities to ensure our duties under the Act are fully met and the strong partnerships we have with stakeholders maintained.
The role will include responsibility for actions that have been included in the Support in Safe Accommodation plan and identifying areas for further improvement.
Key areas of work are:
- As NCC strategic lead for Domestic Abuse, chair and manage key stakeholder relationships of the Norfolk Domestic Abuse Partnership Board
- Represent the Council on local, regional and national domestic abuse groups and forums
- Manage support in safe accommodation and other related contracts
- Refresh both the Support in Safe Accommodation Strategy and Needs Assessment and regularly report on service performance
- Ensure effective use of the New Burdens Funding.
You do not need to understand the technical detail behind domestic abuse, housing and social care, but you should demonstrate the following key skills:
- Diplomacy
- Confidence
- Leadership
- Finance and research acumen
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
