Join our Regional Build team as a Document Control Manager working part of our HS2 project. You will be working as part of a team delivering complex work that really matters to our business, and the world around you.
To be the lead in supporting the project team, supply chain and others to manage documentation and implement the systems to ensure information is adequately controlled and shared
What you'll be doing
As a Document Control Manager you will:
- Carry out Suitable quality checks of incoming documents (e.g. from designers/ sub-contractors)
- Support is provided to ensure information is issued and maintained in an efficient and accessible controlled manner
- Support is provided for approval / acceptance processes-e.g. assist with collation, distribution and close-out of comments
- Work collaboratively with the Project Team, suppliers and other interested parties to maintain a system of progressive assurance for the works. For example, this may include checking / compiling assurance 'packs' for issue to relevant parties
- Support handover processes. For example, this may include assisting with production of Operating & Maintenance Manuals and Health & Safety Files
- Assist with enforcement of the Document Control and Information Management systems at all levels.
Who we're looking for
You will have the following:
- Previous experience of working as a Document Controller in a construction environment
- Substantial practical experience of document control management in a relevant business
- Experience of building and implementing management frameworks, monitoring their use, and maintaining / improving
- Can communicate effectively orally and written and influence others including senior management
