What you will do
The role of the Team Lead is to oversee the day-today operation and people management of the Document Checking department, ensuring a high level of service delivery 24/7.
This will include:
Line management
- Managing the team effectively by conducting individual feedback sessions, one-on-one meetings and regular team meetings
- Managing and reviewing staff training and development
- Monitoring the high performance of team members
- Engaging in conversations about process improvements and more efficient work methods
- Organising appropriate resourcing for absences
- Inducting new staff into the department and leading the recruitment process for any vacancies
Service delivery
- Maintaining a high level of service which exceeds client expectations
- Addressing service failures, recommending solutions, and escalating issues as required
- Ensuring continuity of service
- Proactivity in managing team capacity with the ability to react quickly and appropriately to changes in client and business needs
Specific departmental responsibilities
- Consulting with Document Expert to provide feedback and guidance to the team on technical points
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure smooth handover at start and end of shift
- Overseeing larger projects within Document Services
- Developing technical knowledge through training and work-shadowing as appropriate
What you will have
- Thorough understanding of what exceptional client service looks like
- Successful record in people management in a professional services setting
- Ability to build strong relationships and communicate with a range of stakeholders at all levels
- Experience of working in a busy deadline-driven environment, preferably 24/7
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with demonstrated ability to multitask, work effectively and manage personal deadlines
- Commitment to continuous service improvement and innovation
- Flexibility to travel to the London office to meet with the team
