Job Summary
The primary objectives of this role are:
A. To maintain the Safran Seats (SST) DOAs (Design Organisational Approvals) by
ensuring that the DOA Handbooks and supporting procedures remain compliant to
the regulatory requirements audited by the authorities in support of the HDO & HOA
B. Ensuring that SST DOA projects are delivered on time, within budget and compliant
to the airworthiness- & certification specifications, achieved in part by providing the
right level of support to the engineering project teams, including at SGB and SFR.

Scope of Responsibilities
Description of the team(s):
- Lead SST-DOA Annex A: Type Design Approval (non-ETSO) projects teams from start
of quotation to completion of all DOA certification and supporting design activities
- Work with (d)HOA and members of the Office of Airworthiness (incl. CVEs and cert
engineers) to deliver DOA projects and maintain the DOA Handbook /DOA Procedures
- Coordinate with Engineering Project teams, Finance, Programs, Auditors, Production,
Manufacturing, Quality, Supplier Management - Internal & External - as required
- Provide weekly status reporting of DOA project status to the core DOA TEAM and
highlight any help needed in support of projects.
- Manage and/or coordinate all DOA related internal and regulatory audits.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
• Prepare, Plan and Maintain SAFRAN SEATS Design Organisations (DOA)
engineering, certification and manufacturing processes, procedures and projects
related to SAFRAN SEATS aircraft interior equipment and furnishings (such as seats,
shells, front row monuments).
• Execute the function of "DOA Administrator" in relation to the regulatory bodies
(EASA / UK.CAA / GCAA) taking primary responsibility for the compilation of revisions
of the DOA handbooks, supporting procedures and processes.
• Manage and/or coordinate internal & external audits. Coordinate with internal
auditors and the regulators (EASA / UK.CAA / GCAA) for issues or clarifications
regarding procedures, initial airworthiness and continued airworthiness matters, and
ensure the closure of audit findings to the agreed schedule.

Candidate skills & requirements
• Preferably a degree qualified
engineer with a demonstrable
experience in Aerospace engineering
and manufacturing Industry with
previous experience in EASA DOA
DESIRABLE
• High demand on technical
knowledge, and so the role holder is
expected to be qualified with a
HNC/HND level education, with a
preference of holding an Engineering
degree, demonstrable experience in
Aerospace Industry with proven
experience of DOA working.
ESSENTIAL
• Have sound working experience on
relevant Aerospace manufacturing
processes such as composite
manufacturing, sheet metal
manufacturing, machining, heat
treatments, surface finish,
knowledge of REACH substances,
etc.
DESIRABLE
• The role holder will typically have
greater than 5 years of experience
working in an Engineering discipline,
with previous experience of project
management being an advantage
