Information Management and Technology Services (IM&T Services) provide support to OUH users as well as to a number of other Health organisations across Oxfordshire.

The Neurosciences, Orthopaedic, Trauma,Specialist Surgery, Children's and Neonatal(NOTSSCaN) Division is one of four OUH divisions and boasts a complex and highly diverse portfolio of clinical services. The NOTSSCaN Digital team is a multi-disciplinary, clinically led team responsible for bridging digital and clinical workflows to enhance the delivery of safe and effective care for our patients.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the successful delivery of a 'Digital by Default' Trust. The post holder is required to assist in the development and maintenance of the Trust's EPR (Electronic Patient Record). The role will focus on supporting the operational needs of the NOTSSCaN Division by working with service managers and clinicians to deliver on the Trust Digital Agenda, and develop EPR solutions for the Division.
Support and training will be provided by IM&T (Information and technology teams), however this post will be accountable to the NOTSSCaN Divisional digital team and focus on developments required by this division.
Main duties of the job
Technical support for Division
- Migration of current departmental standalone databases into Cerner Millennium using widget based dynamic interactive pages (M-pages) and associated Millennium functionality eg PowerForms.
- Designing and implementing solutions to match and optimise clinical workflows in line with current standards as defined by the Digital team.
- Partake in planning larger optimisation projects with the relevant clinical teams with the support of the NOTSSCaN digital team.
- Support the delivery of project work in line with development to patient systems both internally and externally
- Attends meetings, which may be held on any of the sites or online, as required.
- To produce data, information, and intelligence using a variety of IT tools and analytical techniques.
- Analyses complex and technical information from a range of sources and presents it in a simplified or suitable form to facilitate decision-making by a variety of audiences comprising senior/department managers, large groups of mixed professions and grades. Some of these could be antagonistic, hostile and resistant to change.
- Facilitates workshops, interviews and meetings with the key staff throughout the Division for the work they lead.
- Undertakes any other duties thatarewithin the general scope of the post, as required by line and senior management.

- Study at postgraduate level in relevant subject (i.e. Masters Degree, Postgraduate Diploma)
- . Undergraduate Degree in Computing and Information Technology or allied field, with in-depth experience working in IT Or HND, BCS with experience working in IT at an advanced level. Or . A sound general education with good grades in English and Maths at GCSE or equivalent and further study to 'A' level standard, with experience working in IT to an advanced level (i.e. equivalent to undergraduate degree level study)
- Systems Development Essentials or Equivalent (Practitioner)

- Specialist knowledge of delivery & adoption of core EPR Clinical Solutions and related Design and Delivery Methods/ Tools as applied to Healthcare
- PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification
