Divisional Director of Nursing AHP & Clinical Professions
Band 8d
We are looking for senior clinical professionals who are able to provide the strategic leadership and professional oversight in our clinical divisions. The postholder will shape and deliver divisional strategy, drive transformation and ensure the highest standards of clinical care, workforce development and patient experience.
The postholder will work closely with the Chief of Division and Divisional Director of Operations to shape and deliver divisional strategy but also with the Chief Nurse to to deliver a trust wide corporate/quality objectives and clinical strategy.
This post includes participation in the Gold on call rota

Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide the strategic leadership and professional oversight for the delivery of the clinical care and patient experience
The post holder will align the divisional priorities with the Trust objectives and embed a culture of excellence
The post holder will lead the development of the Nursing/AHP and healthcare scientist agenda and hold a Trust quality priority and central corporate project aligned to their registration

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration or Registered AHP/Healthcare scientist with current HCPC registration
- Masters level qualification/training relevant to role or equivalent strategic leadership experience and working towards
Experience
Essential criteria
- Extensive senior leadership experience in acute/community healthcare
- Proven track record in clinical governance, workforce leadership and strategic transformation
- Experience in leading divisional or systemwide change programmes
- Significant senior leader experience of clinical operations and able to demonstrate experience of: Quality/Service improvement and leading service changes Operational leadership People Management Financial management of business planning and management of resources Management of performance Quality assurance and management of risk
- A good understanding of the changing NHS environment and evidence of strategic working across the system/network
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of integrated care systems and acute and community care pathways
- Experience working with a triumvirate leadership mode
