Detailed job description and main responsibilities

- Leading the division as accountable manager for service and governance
- Leading the divisional management team (the Divisional General Manager, Divisional Head of Nursing, Clinical Directors, Assistant Divisional Managers and divisional HR and Finance Business Partners)
- Full responsibility for service safety and quality and divisional service and financial performance
- Sharing and advocating the Trust's strategic vision and values and engaging all staff within the Division in the Trust's objectives and ambitions
- Exerting a strategic influence at the Trust Executive and Divisional Board meetings to shape, drive and support the development of aligned Divisional Plans
- Representing the Medical Director at internal and external meetings, as required
- Providing expert clinical leadership to the implementation of the Trust clinical strategy & the design of the redevelopment plan for a new hospital as they relate to the Emergency Medicine Division
