Salary: Up to £35,000
Working Hours: Full time preferred, part time considered

Specsavers are opening a brand new store in Tetbury, Gloucestershire and are looking for an experienced Dispensing Optician to join them as a manager. We will be a community-focused store dedicated to ensuring that every one of our customers receives an excellent patient experience. We are seeking a manager ready to use their passion and knowledge to help us build on our ever-growing and loyal customer base. The store is planning to open January 2024 but we can have a start date sooner if needed with training take place at our Stroud sister store.

We are passionate about the clinical development of our team, and as our new Dispensing Optician Manager, we would like to support you with extra courses and specialisms that interest you. If your ambitions are to become our next Contact Lens Optician, we'll do everything we can to help you to get there!

Our Dispensing Opticians are an integral part of our store management team, so we're keen to get you up to speed. With ILM courses, Pre-Reg supervision and the Specsavers Partnership scheme (Pathway) all available to explore. Along with your clinical and retail expertise - this will stand you in good stead if you choose to become a store director yourself one day.

We're a smaller to medium sized store, fully equipped with 4 test rooms including a dual purpose room, the latest clinical technology (including OCT), and a team which includes fully trained optical assistants, so everything is in place to let you focus on what you do best.

Our location
Tetbury is in an area of outstanding natural beauty and the second largest town in the Cotswolds. It is the home of King Charles III and Camilla, Queen Consort of the United Kingdom. Tetbury was an important market for Cotswold wool and yarn during the Middle Ages. Today, it is better associated with boutique shops, great food, and its Royal Connections.

From M4 (approx 20 mins)
Exit Motorway at Junction 18
Take the A46 north towards Stroud
After a few miles turn right onto the A433 (signed Cirencester).
Continue on this road for approx 6 miles.

From M5 (approx 15 mins)
Exit at Junction 13 onto the A419 (towards Stroud)
Take the A46 (towards Bath)
After going through Nailsworth, come to traffic lights at X-roads
Turn left onto A4135 to Tetbury.

What we're looking for
You'll need to be a qualified and GOC registered Dispensing Optician with the drive, passion and the willingness to build upon our customer-focused culture. As part of our team, you'll need to be able to provide a unique blend of customer care and professional excellence. You'll need to demonstrate good attention to detail along with a passion for the community. Teamwork also forms a big part of our culture, so the ability to work well with others is essential.
